Farewell Flynn Rider?

From tomorrow, Flynn Rider will no longer appear at the Magic Kingdom's "Tangled" Play and Greet (source), presumably in an attempt to shorten waiting times.  Whilst perhaps understandable, personally this saddens me as I have a soft spot for the character - I've met the wonderful Zachary Levi, who voiced the character, and even named my puppy Flynn!

The above photo was taken at Disneyland Paris - whilst people were queuing to have their photo taken with Rapunzel (more on that later!), Flynn helped pass the time by mingling with the crowd, posing for photos and signing autographs.  Surely that's something the US parks could consider?
